Land ownership and property descriptions have existed since the beginning of time. This seminar will retrace some of the major historical developments in land title descriptions. It will review the variety of descriptive genres; street address, tax maps, filed maps and metes & bounds. Also regional variances in description types, 13 colonies vs West of the Mississippi; chains & links vs feet and inches, magnetic courses vs GPS. All attendees will acquire the ability to create the best and most exact descriptions of land for inclusion in the final title policy.
