This seminar will provide a basic understanding of Land Title Surveying practices and bridge the gap between the Surveyor in the field and the Title Examiner in the office. Students will become familiar with common surveying tools and their uses. A practical demonstration of the total station will be given and there will be discussions of its uses with industry professionals. The surveying process will be examined from the pre-field preparation and field operations through the calculations, drafting and setting of property corners. The Corner Marker Rule will be explained along with common limitations and difficulties found in the field. All attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of the Land Surveying process and how it affects the final title policy.
3 Credit hours of Continuing Education will be earned
